Students from the Berkeley School for Social Welfare started the Social Justice Symposium to recognize Martin Luther King’s commitment to serving others. That vision has blossomed into a free annual conference attended by over 300 people. This year will feature a keynote by Favianna Rodriguez and Julio Salgado and a performance by Jazz Hudson. 16 terrific orgs will present workshops on topics ranging from sexual exploitation of kids to the disability rights movement.
