at American High School, Fremont, CA

The growing achievement gap for African American students has resulted in lower graduation rates, higher drop-out rates, declining college enrollments, and an alarming proportion of our men in prison. Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream, for which so many fought and sacrificed, is in danger of being lost to this generation of students. Today’s African American student needs a supportive and shared leadership, along with practical solutions that help find the path to transformation.
