Colleen Morton Busch, author of "Fire Monks," will address how we can meet a crisis with true presence of mind, whether epic natural events or the smaller-scale calamities of everyday human life. Busch will use the example of how residents of the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center near Big Sur saved their monastery from wildfire devastation during the massive 2008 Basin Complex Fire. This event is free and open to adults and high school students. Registration is recommended.
