Remy (Patton Oswalt), a resident of Paris, appreciates good food and has quite a sophisticated palate. He would love to become a chef so he can create and enjoy culinary masterpieces to his heart's delight. The only problem is, Remy is a rat. When he winds up in the sewer beneath one of Paris' finest restaurants, the rodent gourmet finds himself ideally placed to realize his dream.
Movie theaters showing Ratatouille near Oakland,CA:
Just watched it on DVD and enjoyed it. But except for the leading rat and the food critic, the characters in this film just weren't very interesting. Favorite moment: When the critic gets a taste of ratatouille and flashes back the whole mom-comfort food thing.

NO ONE WANTS to see a rat running around in a kitchen. But in "Ratatouille," a rat dreams of being a great chef. Not whipping up garbage ganache or compost compotes for others in the rat universe, mind you, but gourmet cooking for humans. (Full review)
