Rasanble! Haitian Arts & Culture Festival

The word Rasanble, in Haitian Kreyol, means "to gather" or "to assemble." Our goal is to gather dancers, musicians, community leaders, scholars, activists, dance and music educators, linguists, cultural and food enthusiasts and supporters of Haiti to Celebrate make Visible and Inform participants of the rich cultural traditions that are the foundation of Haitian culture.

La Deesse De La Mar began practicing Vodou in 1996. She was initiated in 2004, and became a Mambo Asogwe. In 2007 she established her own Society, La Deesse De La Mer Vodou Temple, located in Lacul, Leogane. Her spiritual name La Deesse De La Mer, was given to her by the Sea Goddess herself, La Sirene. Her non Vanyan is Apredye Sipote Bon Mambo. La Deesse continues to serve her Ancestors and Lwa with love and respect. Her mission is to teach, serve and help all pitit Ginen.
