The Metropolitan Greater Oakland Democratic Club presents a panel on differing views of CCAs. Since 2002 local areas are free to choose electricity from sources other than PG&E. Marin County, Richmond and San Francisco have all adapted energy choice programs. Speakers include Severin Borenstein, nationally recognized energy expert from UCB; Al Weinrub, Coordinator of the Local Clean Energy Alliance; and Hunter Stern, representing IBEW Local 1245, representing over 18,000 utility workers.
