Resonance Jazz Ensemble is the only jazz octet in Northern California with the unusual instrumentation that includes cello, viola and drums with standard jazz instruments.
Resonance artists bring a richly diverse musical background. Members of the octet have performed with many legendary artists, such as Dizzy Gillespie, Louie Bellson,Joe Lovano, Jethro Tull, Oakland Jazz Choir, Mingus Amungus, Gloria Estefan, as well as the Berkeley Symphony, and the California Pops Orchestra.
