Leonard Cohen
One of the most fascinating and enigmatic -- if not the most successful -- singer/songwriters of the late '60s, Leonard Cohen has retained an audience across four decades of music-making interrupted by various digressions into personal and creative exploration, all of which have only added to the mystique surrounding him....

Just a very few times in one's lifetime does time stop still and only upon looking back do you realize that you have been in the midst of a sacred happening.
Those of us in the audience at Leonard Cohen and et al's mesmerizing concert had our collective breath taken away, especially as Mr. Cohen's energetic demeanor gave way to his wise, timeless songs like "So long Maryanne", "Hallelujah", "A Thousand Kisses Deep" and the jaw-dropping instrumentals that caused an almost sold-out-house to give ovation-after-ovation.
The enormous pavilion that houses hockey games (!!) became a hushed sanctuary when Mr. Cohen's words to "If It Be Your Will" were followed by the spell-binding and unforgettable performance by the Webb sisters then singing the song.
Like everyone else there I felt honored, so very fortunate, to be there as Mr. Cohen and his musicians channeled sound from a place few artists can ever hope to access.
Mr. Cohen - what a gift you are to the world. Gratitude for this night of joy.
