Samuel Merritt University’s Picchi Memorial Lecture Series features author Victoria Sweet, M.D.

Dr. Victoria Sweet is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Sweet will discuss her recent memoir, “God’s Hotel: A Doctor, A Hospital, and A Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine,” which chronicles her two decades of practicing medicine at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco, raising issues of how medical care and treatment are delivered in the United States.
