This improv comedy show finds the comedy in real-life romance. Couples from the audience are interviewed live on stage, and their stories are improvised by hilariously talented improvisors.

What began as a one-time Valentine's show at San Francisco's Bayfront Theater in 2001 has since gone on to play in over a dozen cities in the U.S., Canada, Toronto, Japan, and Australia. Since its inception, the show has featured a wide range of couples, gay, straight, conservative, liberal, married 50 years, and dating three weeks, all sharing a kooky crazy thing called Love.

Paul Erskine (Improvisor) is a hopeless romantic, performing in all nine seasons of HWFM and often officiating in weddings; some real, some not. The “not real” ones were onboard the RMS Queen Mary where as “Captain Julius Yaghtman” he orchestrated impromptu weddings.

Laura Derry (Improvisor) returns for another seaon of HWFM. She's an improviser, actor, director, teacher and musician, and is celebrating 19 years in San Francisco. Laura has a B.A. in Theatre Arts from UCSC, has trained at ACT and with a number of Shakespeare companies, plus BATS...

Deborah Wade

Deborah Wade (Improvisor) makes her HWFM debut this season. Deborah has worked in the Bay Area in commercials, films and theatre for the past fifteen years. She has performed with many Bay Area theatre groups, most recently as a member of RIPE Theatre who write all their own shows.

Damon Paiz

Damon Paiz (Tech Improvisor / Co-Producer) has been technically tweaking and producing HWFM since it began. He met his wife at an impromptu potluck Thanksgiving dinner. Now they have two children and plan their Thanksgiving dinners way ahead of time.
