PitchForce

The next PitchForce event is November 8, 2012 and we have already begun to review and select startups to present. Think you have what it takes? Then apply as soon as possible as we are selecting companies on a rolling basis. Just complete the online application and we will let you know in the coming weeks if you accepted or not.
PitchForce is a series of monthly fund raising events for high tech, software, clean tech, medical device, biotech or medical diagnostic companies. The way it works is that… Show more ten companies are chosen each month to participate in PitchForce.  Presenting companies will each have a demo table to have the opportunity to meet and network with angels, VCs and guests during the first hour. Attendees will then vote for their favorite company, and the top five will get to present to a distinguished panel of VCs.  The panel chooses who they feel is the most promising startup. The winner gets a meeting with our Sponsoring Venture Capitalist, Hummer Winblad, for a full Pitch Session to the Hummer Winblad team.

Mitchell Kertzman
Mitchell Kertzman is a Managing Director at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. He has over 30 years of experience as a CEO of public and private software companies. Most recently, Mitchell was Chairman and CEO of Liberate Technologies, a provider of platform software for the delivery of digital services by cable television companies. Before joining Liberate, he was chairman of the board and CEO of Sybase, Inc. Mitchell was founder and CEO of Powersoft, which merged with Sybase in February 1995.
A former programmer, Mitchell founded Powersoft in 1974 as Computer Solutions. He renamed the company and became a member of the Hummer Winblad family in 1991 when Hummer Winblad invested in the company, which became the leading provider of client-server development tools with its flagship product, PowerBuilder. The merger with Sybase in 1995 was, at the time, the most valuable in the history of the software industry.
