The culminating event of AEFs 30th Anniversary Campaign on Saturday evening, Dec. 1 (World AIDS Day) in a clear tent in the National AIDS Memorial Grove with entertainment by Martha Wash, who began her career as backup for Sylvester in the late 70s. She went on to record dance anthems, including “It’s Raining Men” When Sylvester died of AIDS, he bequeathed his future recording royalties to AEF who will honor him posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award to be shared with Ms. Wash.
