Shake Your Peace!
SHAKE YOUR PEACE! is a San Francisco-based band known for their ebullient live performances, ecological & social justice politics, and bicycle-based music tours. Founded in 2004 by lead singer Gabe Dominguez, the band presents a new style of music called “Whup” – a celebratory and political dance music style combining: Afro-Latin rhythm, bluegrass fiddle, gospel choir-style: harmony, call & response, and spirit invocation, and Dominguez’ own anarchistic take on the American folk and pop/rock music traditions.
