James Edmonds: Real, Relevant

James Edmonds, a winner in ArtZone's 2012 “California Realists Competition” is a realist tromp l’oeil painter. Edmonds follows a long tradition of portraying objects with such extreme detail that they create an illusion of spatial and tactile qualities. The artist remarks, “Observing and humbly interpreting life around me has helped me to create images that stand apart from the ordinary. The goal of my work is to bring a classical set of skills to a present context.”
