San Francisco Amateur Astronomers welcome Dr. Ralf Kaehler, from the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology (KIPAC), for an intriguing talk on Scientific Visualization in Numerical Astrophysics and Cosmology.

Dr. Kaehler will describe the role of scientific visualization in cosmological research, explain how he develops state-of-the-art computer graphics techniques to produce the visualizations, and show many examples of images and animations resulting from his work.
