Marin Ballet Premieres a 50th Anniversary Season of Celebration with Nutcracker 2012

Come celebrate one of the original ‘cultural jewels’ of Marin County - Marin Ballet’s Nutcracker. In the early 1960’s, Marin Ballet founder Leona Norman was the first Artistic Director to bring this full-length ballet classic to our community. In 1973, Marin Ballet celebrated their 10th Anniversary Nutcracker Gala at the brand new Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium - and with that performance this beloved Marin Center holiday tradition was born. This season, the famous Christmas Eve Party will sparkle with all new costumes and Clara’s dream comes alive with over 175 dancers, lavish sets, and wonderful surprises.
