Double features every night and all children 11 years old and under are free. This drive-in theater is one of the few remaining in California and the country. It has two screens, a remodeled concession facility, and playground. Open year round with first run movies.
On weekends, vendors sell unique and interesting items at the public market.

My wife and I have a 14mo. and thought that our movie watching days had to be put on hold for a while. Because of this incredible drive-in we can appreciate the privacy and enjoyment of this awesome cinema!

I was really upset when the Drive Ins closed back in 2004. But when they re-opened, I was even more excited. With a family of four, it is super easy to bring your children. You don't have to worry about you kids screaming and wanting to run around and making others upset. You can bring your own food and drinks and you get to watch 2 movies for under 7 bucks per adult. Now at the movie theator it is 9 bucks and you have to pay for children. We come to the Drive Ins atleast 3-5 times a month. It is well worth the money and the experince is priceless....

We had no idea what we were missing out on! We went to the drive in last night for the first time. We live about 45 minutes or so away, but even with the price of gas, for a family of four, the price can't be beat. We only stayed for one movie but liked it so much that we are going again tonight for the double feature! It has to be the best way, that I am aware, to be able to see new movies and stay within a reasonable budget.

We have been coming to the Solano Drive-in for several years but they never seem to play an appropriate double-feature. We would visit much more often if they would play a kid movie and follow it up with a grown up movie. Does anyone want to watch Wall-E at 11:20? It seems to me that the families don't want to be surrounded by teens and the teens don't want a bunch of kids around cramping their style. The solution is to play PG13 movies on one side and a PG followed by a PG13 movie on the other side. Both groups would get what they want!

Why should security patrol? Are you not not aware that Miss Mary has been decriminilized in this county and many more and and it is also a lot of people's LEGAL medicine.. Sitting in a car for hrs at a time hurts... and yea so what if I smoke a doobie to ease that pain??? I am not coming into your car passing it to your kids.. besides in my opinon you should be teaching them that it is ok rather than somehting that is bad..
Cigs and booze all around.
Also.............. How about some security for all those whiney lil people?? I don't have kids why should I be subjected to their nonsense while I try and enjoy a great movie??
Why????
It is called toleration
accepatce....
There are always going to be things you dont like.... Get over it!!!!

The fact that there are a lot of children at the drive-in should be a great reason to have security patrol the area where vehicles are park. The reason I state this is because every time, which is many, go to Solano Drive-in there is always people smoking marijuana to the point of no return. My children nor I should not be forced to smell marijuana. Please, please stop this one, but important, issue. Thank you.

Two new movies for one price! How can you go wrong? I have been to this drive in many times and have never had any problems. The theater has been repaved and is in good condition. It is a real treasure for Contra Costa County to have one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in the US. Hey, it's a drive in... it's not going to be perfect.... that's part of the fun!!

The drive-in has been playing movies in an AAB format. Last night on one screen they played Indian Jones twice (once at 8:30 and once at 10:30) and then Speed Racer at 1:00AM. This is troublesome for people who show up expecting to see a double feature where each movie is played back to back.

We truly enjoy coming to the driving, especially because we have small children who are noisy and can't stay still in the movie theaters. And we love the one low price for TWO MOVIES!!! The snaking is great, I totally love that Orchata drink you guys sell. Once again Thank you sooo much!!

Overall it was a good experience. The screen was in good shape. The bathroom was clean. The bad part is that people arrived late and parked in the fire lanes in order to be in the front. Not only did they block peoples way out they did not cease intimate activity that was being highlighted by passing cars headlights at the end of the movie.

Looking forward to the promo this Thursday. Got an e-mail flyer that said free admission on May 3rd for "Shrek 2" and "Nacho Libre"! $1.00 nachos too! First 25 cars get gift bags! Then on Friday, "Spiderman 3" opens up here! YEAH! Been waiting a long time as I heard they're under new management now. Went by this week and saw that they've painted and repaved the ground. Use to hate those potholes...
